Also referred to as a carpenter's or a ship builder's axe, the Council Tool Broad Axe w/ Curved Hickory Handle is medium-sized tool. It is beveled in both sides which makes it as a great tool for chopping and notching. 

This Broad Axe is made of a 2.75-pound steel head and a 28-inch handle made of curved American hickory handle. The axe head is seated onto the handle in a traditional process. It uses a wooden wedge which is crossed together with a metal wedge for added stability and security. It features a 6.57-inch blade with its cutting edge coated with clear lacquer to prevent rust. It also includes premium leather sheath.
