Equipped with two-fold telescoping anodized aluminum legs, the Nedo Giant Elevating Tripod is a highly durable and sturdy tripod designed to provide a wide working elevation range of 70 inches up to 157 inches. It features an elevating center column with inch and millimeter scale to allow accurate fine height adjustment up to 23 inches. Its powder-coated aluminum head with 5/8-11 threading and 4.3-inch diameter plate easily mounts heavy-duty rotating lasers and 3D laser scanners.

To guarantee superior stability, this Nedo giant elevating tripod is supported by tough leg struts and uses brass hinge pins. Excellent tripod when you need to reach over ten feet!

Excellent tripod - but I would never order from Tiger Supplies again. I am not a surveyor, but am a forensic photographer. I needed this tripod because I have a shoot where I need to have the camera at about 11 feet. This tripod goes to approximately 13 feet. And, once you mount your tripod head to the top, you get an additional 6 inches or so beyond that! It's a bit awkward to set-up, but that's expected with something this large. Each leg is over 5 feet long, and the tripod weighs about 25 pounds. The center column is in two sections - the inside one pushes up to the length you need, the outside one uses a crank, and the column is marked in both inches and centimeters (subdivisions of 1/16 inch and 1 mm). If you do plan to mount a camera or tripod head, you will need an adapter. The Seco Tripod Female to Male Adapter (5/8 to 1/4) works well. I haven't found a 5/8 to 3/8 adapter so if you are mounting a tripod head, you will need a 1/4 - 20 to 3/8 - 16 bushing. Regarding Tiger Supplies - I paid for 3 day shipping. My initial order arrived incomplete after 8 business days! I had to call and beg to get the missing component - being promised daily that it would ship each day, overnight.

Top quality

This tripod is excellent for my Faro scanner. The tripod is well-built, fairly portable, relatively light, and reasonably priced.
