The Notch Tenex 5/8" Rigging Sling w/ Hard-Coated Triple Thimble is a combination of a rigging rope and a heavy-duty triple hole thimble, which is used by arborists and foresters as a versatile cordage tool for rigging applications. Strong & reliable, this sling-and-thimble combo can be used to reduce point stress during the rigging process, adding safety for the arborist. The three holes can be utilized to adjust the friction on the rigging line.
High-Quality Design: High strength with a low stretch material, the 5/8" diameter Tenex-Tec rigging sling is made from a coreless, low stretch, hollow braid, samthane-coated tenex material which provides a more enhanced & balanced wear life, with a high working load limit & ease of splicing. The sling has a tensile strength of 18,000 lbs, making it a strong and reliable cord for the user.
This device also features the Notch triple thimble, made from milled aluminum block, which is hard-coat anodized & polished for durability, and has dimensions of 5.625" x 5.375" x 1.375". It has a deeper rope groove compared to other rigging thimbles to have a safe and secure anchoring, has a tensile strength of 14,612 lbs. (65 kN) and can accommodate a range of 1/2" D to 3/4" D sling ropes. Notch products have a lifetime warranty on their products.
The Tenex 5/8" Rigging Sling w/ Hard-Coated Triple Thimble comes in two different options that differ on the sling length and the type of sling. You may choose between two sling types: Whoopie Sling which can be used on running lines up to 3/4" D, or the Ultra Sling, which has 7 spliced 6" pockets and can only be used in a choked configuration.
