The Ranger 5 Data Collector from Spectra Geospatial is a sophisticated Android-based survey field data collector designed to make data collection and transfer more seamless than ever before. It has several data collection features including Bluetooth, WiFi, GNSS, worldwide WWAN, and a rear camera, making it easy to capture and share geotagged videos and images. This Spectra Origin-compatible device is lightweight yet rugged, with an IP65 rating against dust and water as well as MIL-STD-810H protection against shock and extreme temperatures.

Easy to Use: The Ranger 5 has a bright, anti-glare 5” colored screen and a well-designed backlit alphanumeric keyboard that is easy to use even while wearing gloves. It runs on Android which dramatically flattens the learning curve. It has a more ergonomic, easier-to-grip, and lighter design than its predecessors to lessen onsite fatigue for you and your team.

Stays Connected: The Android 10 OS of the Ranger 5 is Google Mobile Services (GMS) certified, which means it comes with pre-installed Google apps (like Gmail) and access to Google Playstore. This opens up the possibilities when it comes to connectivity and data sharing as you can install apps for team messaging, task management, and a lot more.

Customizable: The Ranger 5 Data Collector is a part of the Trimble Empower platform, a family of modular field devices that can be customized for any application and industry. The Ranger 5 has an Empower module bay where you can attach the EM120 long-range radio, EM100 GNSS radio, EM11X family of RFID/barcode readers, and more. With this, you can remain flexible to deliver quality results for any job across several industries.

Used with the Spectra Origin and Origin Lite and with an all-day battery backed up by a removable battery option, the Ranger 5 is a powerhouse for surveying jobs from precision data collection to stakeouts and layouts.
