Equipped with a high-sensitivity GPS/GLONASS receiver, the Garmin Monterra Handheld GPS Navigator is a powerful device that offers excellent mapping capability. It is preloaded with Worldwide Basemap and TOPO maps and features the 3D MapMerge that supports viewing of multiple three-dimensional maps. With the integrated three-axis electronic compass with accelerometer and gyroscope, it enables accurate monitoring of location and weather conditions.

This handheld GPS navigator by Garmin includes an eight-megapixel autofocus digital camera for taking vivid photos and a 1080p/30fps video camera with LED flash for capturing videos. It allows wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC (near field communication) for easy data sharing. It also comes with large internal memory and a microSD card slot to efficiently save files for future use. By downloading Android applications from Google Play, it provides additional functionality.

The Garmin Monterra Handheld GPS Navigator delivers important information and alerts with its built-in FM radio and NOAA weather radio. It has a four-inch touchscreen display that is sunlight-readable and dual orientation. With a dual battery system, the Garmin Monterra operates for up to 16 hours with the included rechargeable li-ion battery pack or 22 hours with three AA alkaline batteries (not included). Its IPX7-rated housing is protected against dust and water.
