This hip prusik is specially designed for footlocking techniques, and works well on 7/16" to 3/4" diameter climbing ropes, making it a reliable utility for the climber. 

High-Quality & Durable: The cord is grizzly-spliced by experts for more efficient and secure rope-ratcheting applications, and is made from Double-Braid, Yale Bee-Line cordage, which is constructed with heat-resistant 75% Technora / 25% Polyester tightly-woven cover and high-strength Vectran core, has a tensile strength of 5,400lbs., and a standard diameter of 10mm. Versatile and durable, this device produces less wear on the host rope compared to mechanical grabbing devices.
