The Amerex B461 6 lbs Multi-Purpose ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher with Brass Valve is a 3-in-1 extinguisher that can effectively stop fires involving ordinary combustibles (e.g., paper and wood), flammable gas and liquids, and electrical equipment in small to medium spaces such as offices, schools, hospitals, homes, and cars. With a UL rating of 3A:40B:C, it has the same firefighting power as 3.75 gallons of water and can fight 40 square feet of Class B fire. 

Superior firefighting power. Like all Amerex ABC fire extinguishers, the B461 extinguisher uses a unique, specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical that insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F, smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires, and does not conduct electricity back to the operator. When sprayed, it can last up to 14 seconds and reach 15-21 feet. It can be used in temperatures ranging from +40°F to 120°F.  The Amerex B461, like all Amerex fire extinguishers, is manufactured and tested to ANSI/UL standards, UL listed, ISO-9001/ISO-14001 certified, and meets NFPA 10 standards.  

User-friendly design. The Amerex B461 extinguisher is designed for ease of use to ensure successful and safe fire suppression. It comes factory-charged and ready to use. It has a stainless-steel pull pin with a large loop for easy pulling and a hose that allows the nozzle to be easily maneuvered and aimed at the fire while holding the extinguisher upright. It is also QR-coded and has bilingual labels. It comes with a sturdy wall bracket that is easy to mount as well as detach from the extinguisher in the event of a fire. Please note that screws and other mounting tools aside from the bracket are not included in the package. The Amerex B461 6 lbs Multi-Purpose ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher is available in red or chrome finish. Chrome is easier to blend with the background, making it the preferred extinguisher in locations where style and aesthetics are a priority such as hotels, reception areas, modern offices, upscale restaurants, etc. However, since it’s more difficult to see than its red counterpart, chrome extinguishers must be accompanied by easy-to-read signs.
