The Amerex 5 lbs Multi-Purpose ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers (2A:10B:C) are 3-in-1 fire extinguishers that can effectively stop fires involving ordinary combustibles, flammable gas and liquids, and electrical equipment in small to medium spaces such as offices, schools, hospitals, homes, and cars. With a UL rating of 2A:10B:C, these extinguishers are as effective in battling fire as 2.5 gallons of water and can fight 10 square feet of Class B fire.
Superior firefighting power. Like all Amerex ABC fire extinguishers, the 5 lbs ABC extinguishers use a unique, specially fluidized and siliconized mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical that insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F, smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires, and does not conduct electricity back to the operator. When sprayed, these extinguishers can last up to 14 seconds and reach 12 to 18 feet.
Rugged, reliable build. Amerex is known for its high-quality fire extinguishers that are guaranteed to last long with proper maintenance and service. The 5 lbs ABC extinguishers feature a stored pressure design with sturdy steel cylinders, high-gloss polyester powder paint, and anodized aluminum valve body, handle, and lever. The all-metal construction makes the extinguishers durable enough to withstand fire and future recharge unlike fire extinguishers with plastic parts. On top of the usual nozzle, these extinguishers come with a hose that makes it easy to aim at the fire while holding the extinguisher upright. The Amerex ABC fire extinguishers are safe to use in temperatures ranging from -65°F to 120°F.
Mounting options. Depending on the package you choose, your fire extinguisher can come with a wall bracket or vehicle/marine bracket. The red metal wall bracket is sturdy and easy to mount while the vehicle/marine bracket is a US Coast Guard approved mounting bracket suitable for marine, vehicle, and aviation applications. As with all Amerex products, the Amerex 5 lbs Multi-Purpose ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers are ANSI/UL approved and manufactured to standards under ISO-9002. All Amerex ABC fire extinguishers are QR-coded, have bilingual labels, and contain required HMIS information.

You can choose from 5 packages with different UL rating, color finish, bracket and valve.

Color finish – Your fire extinguisher can come with either red or chrome finish. Chrome is easier to blend with the background, making it the preferred extinguisher in locations where style and aesthetics are a priority such as hotels, reception areas, modern offices, upscale restaurants, etc.

Bracket – Choose between a wall bracket and vehicle/marine/aviation bracket.

Valve - Choose between an aluminum valve or a brass valve.
