The Indian Chief 5-Gallon Dual Nylon Backpack w/ Fire Pump is a collapsible backpack-style fire pump with an inner and outer liner system for maximum comfort and protection from punctures and other damages. The inner liner is easily replaceable in case of a puncture in the field while the nylon outer bag offers extra protection and improves comfort by forming to the shape of the back of the user.
Comfortable and convenient. The lightweight design makes the backpack easy to carry for hours, ideal for fighting forest, grass brush, and rubbish fires. The premium padded shoulder straps have a chest cinch strap that distributes the weight efficiently and keeps the bag in the proper position. It also has an outer utility pouch that holds an extra liner (included) and other extra gears for firefighters. A 3 fill port with a quick connect mechanism lets you quickly attach a hose. This collapsible backpack rolls up for easy storage when not in use.
Made from superior materials. Nylon is highly resistant to acid, alkalis, weather, and water as well as puncture and abrasion. This ensures long years of service despite rough use on the field. The USFS-approved all-brass Fedco pump is made from two seamless brass cylinders with guide bushing on the inner cylinder for ensuring bind-free operation at all times. It has a combination nozzle that lets the operator change from a straight stream to a cone spray quickly and easily without using any special tools. The nozzle is attached to the pump with a beaded chain.
Other features include a filter screen at the outlet to prevent clogging and a ventilated cap with a watertight gasket.
The Indian Chief 5-Gallon Dual Nylon Backpack Fire Pump is made by one of the oldest names in wildland firefighting gears. Its a reliable and convenient backpack-style fire pump thats guaranteed to last for years.
