The Amerex 3.7lbs Halotron BrX Fire Extinguisher is a high-performance, lightweight extinguisher with minimal environmental impact, making it an ideal alternative to Halon 1211 extinguishers in the aviation industry. This 5B:C extinguisher uses Halotron BrX (2-BTP), a clean, non-corrosive agent that is UL, ISO, EN, EASA, and FAA compliant. The 3.7lbs Halotron BrX Extinguisher is available in two models: Model 347 (with a nozzle) and Model 349 (with a hose).

Superior fire suppression: Halotron BrX (2-BTP) quickly knocks down fires fueled by liquid and solid combustibles without leaving harmful and potentially corrosive residue. It contains bromine which breaks the chemical reactions needed for combustion. Being a lightweight, EPA-certified clean agent, Halotron BrX is fast becoming the preferred Halon alternative agent for commercial aircraft.

Passes environmental standards: The Amerex Halotron BrX Fire Extinguisher is the first in the market to achieve extremely low Global Warming Potential (0.26, 100 years) and Ozone Depletion Potential (0.0028).

User-friendly: This stored-pressure extinguisher is always ready for discharge with an easy-to-read pressure gauge and easy-pull pin. It is easy to install in tight spaces thanks to its compact design, and the optional hose allows flexibility to reach tight spaces. The agent is easy to see when discharged, does not conduct electricity back to the user, and does not cause a thermal or static shock. The extinguisher is backward compatible with many Halon 1211 installations, making it easy to replace Halon 1211 onboard aircraft and ground-based facilities.

Rugged build: This extinguisher is made of aluminum cylinders with long-lasting polyester powder paint. It has an all-metal, durable valve and can operate from-40ºF to 120ºF/-40ºC to 49ºC.
