The Fluke 1550 Series KV Insulation Tester is a precise instrument that is utilized in testing for high voltage systems such as generators, power distribution cables, transformers, switchgear, and consumers. It comes with a selectable test voltage range up to 10 kilovolts with a ±10 percent accuracy at one milliampere load current. For safety purposes, the 1550 series offers a live circuit warning range from 30 volts to 660 volts and is rated with CAT III 1,000 V/ CAT IV 600 V safety rating.

For easier data processing, this Fluke insulation tester is Fluke Connect compatible to easily capture and see trend anomalies when doing insulation testing. Also, it comes with a warning function alert and guard system mode that removes the effect of surface leakage current. Plus, it includes a setting up to 99 minutes for time-regulated tests.

This Fluke 1550 Series features an IP40 rating which protects the device from objects greater than one millimeter. It uses a 12-volt lead-acid rechargeable battery which allows the technician to have at least 750 tests between charges. As an extra feature, the Fluke 1550 Series comes with a large digital/analog LCD display that shows readable results for an effective testing experience.
