150 lbs Halotron I Wheeled Fire Extinguisher (Class ABC)

The Amerex 150 lbs Halotron I Wheeled Fire Extinguisher (Class ABC) uses Halotron I, a “clean” fire extinguishing agent, to extinguish Class A (ordinary combustibles), B (flammable liquid/gas), and C (electrical equipment) fires. Being a “clean” agent, Halotron I does not leave any residue that can damage expensive engines and equipment, making it the agent of choice for commercial aircraft, data centers, laboratories, industrial plants, ships, military bases, and any facility with high-value assets. It is the only FAA-approved alternative “clean” agent for both ARFF ramp use and onboard an aircraft, proving its superior firefighting power. Further, Halotron I is widely accepted as the best replacement to Halon 1211 because of its low environmental impact. Superior firefighting power. With a UL rating of 10A:120B:C, this extinguisher can suppress fire as effectively as 12.5 gallons of water and can fight 120 square feet of Class B fire. It is non-conductive, thus safe to use on Class C fires. Halotron I has a relatively high boiling point compared to other “clean” extinguishing agents, which allows it to cover more distance at a throw length of 30 to 45 ft. before completely evaporating. This makes it user-friendly and enables inexperienced firefighters to efficiently put out a fire. 

Rugged construction. Like all Amerex extinguishers, the Amerex 150 lbs Halotron I Wheeled Extinguisher is made of high-quality materials that ensure long shelf life. The DOT/TC cylinder, carriage, and hose rack are made of heavy-duty stainless steel, as well as the fasteners and gauge guard. The valve and hose fittings are made of chrome-plated brass which is more durable than aluminum. This fire extinguisher is safe to use at temperatures ranging from -40ºF to +120ºF.

Easy to use. For easy operation, this model has live swivels on its discharge valve, quick-opening valves, and a quick-release discharge hose that is 50 feet long. The 16” or 36” semi-pneumatic steel wheels smoothly move and come with non-sparking rubber threads that prevent ignition during the onset of fire. It also has live swivels on the discharge valve, reflective stripes, tow loops, and UL/ULC label with QR code and a large instruction pictogram for quick reference.
