The Wick 100G 2-Cycle Wildland Fire Pump by Mercedes Textiles is an ultra-lightweight fire pump specifically designed to meet the needs of professional forestry helicopter jump crews in fighting forest fires. Helitack crew members need a lightweight, easy-to-use fire pump that will deliver reliable performance in every mission. The Wick 100G pairs a reliable 2.4 hp, 42 cc 2-stroke Solo engine with a centrifugal single-stage foam-compatible pump end, resulting in a wildland fire pump that delivers up to 100 PSI.
Lightweight and easy to operate. Weighing under 20 lbs, the Wick 100G is extremely lightweight and is therefore relatively easy to transport to remote areas or carry up a slope. It’s an all-position pump that functions at all angles, making it very adaptable to any situation. The pump end is bolt detachable for easy maintenance and the integral fuel tank runs for approximately 40 minutes. It uses a Nikasil cylinder wall that resists wearing longer to extend engine life. It also has a decompression switch for super-easy starting and electronic ignition for long-term reliability. On top of its innovative design, the Wick 100G has lower carbon emissions than Mercedes Textile’s previous fire pump models – great news for the environment!
Water-conserving mechanism. A clever feature of Wick fire pumps is the clutch mechanism that prevents water flow when the pump is idle and starts flowing water when the RPMs are increased. This facilitates hose line connections and, more importantly, conserves water for warm-up periods or when water might be in short supply, e.g. when feeding on portable reservoirs. This is a great feature when fighting a remote wildland fire with a limited water supply.
Reliable, easy to operate, rugged, and environmental-friendlier, the Wick 100G 2-Cycle Wildland Fire Pump is an ideal fire pump not only for helitack crewmembers but also for municipal and forestry fire departments, industrial applications, residential area use and protection, and other emergency services.
