The SubSurface Instruments LD-12 Professional Water Leak Detector is one of the best leak detection tool for pinpointing the source of water system losses. With a sensitive ground microphone and handswitch, it allows the construction professional to easily listen for leaks in a variety of terrain and hard surfaces. It has three low-side filters (100Hz, 200Hz, or 400Hz) and three high-side filters (600Hz, 800Hz or 1,200Hz).

The LD-12 features a Filter-Thru switch that turns off all amplifier filters and allow to hear sounds from 50 Hertz to 15,000 Hertz. Also, it includes a limiter switch that puts off all loud noises greater than 110 decibels. This lightweight leak detector comes with an amplification of 62 decibels ±3 decibels that can pick up the tiniest sounds.

The SubSurface Instruments LD-12 detector uses six AA alkaline batteries that gives an operating time of 14 to 28 hours depending on the backlight usage. Weighing 31 ounces, this water leak detector is easy to carry around.
