Designed for use with Generac three-phase generators that use Nexus or Evolution controllers, Generac Three-Phase Service Rated Automatic Transfer Switch supports a stable and safe transfer of electric current among multiple sources and loads. This automatic transfer switch spontaneously starts up the generator and transfers the load to it at an event of utility power loss. Once power is restored, it also safely switches the load from generator back to utility.
This transfer switch features an open transition load transition type with UL 1008 rating for optional standby applications. Also, it is ideal for residential, commercial and light industrial applications. This open-transition transfer switch comes with a five-second timer to generator start and engine warm-up delay. And, it includes an engine cool-down timer of 60 seconds.
For protection and durability, this transfer switch features an aluminum NEMA 3R type enclosure that protects the unit from falling dirt and water, snow, and sleet. It also has an electrostatically applied powder coating. In addition, this service entrance switch is designed for a single person installation.

Certification
UL 1008. This standard applies to automatic and manual transfer switches that are intended for use as service equipment. The Unified Facilities Guide Specification on automatic transfer switches cites UL 1008 (2012 edition) in its specifications for the Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency (AFCESA) and NASA projects. It is also referenced in the MIL-PRF- 17773C(SH), which is the Navy standard for automatic bus transfer switches installed on Navy combat vessels.
