The kit contains the Rite in the Rain Tactical Field Book and Metal Trekker Pen encased in a sturdy Cordura cover. Each component of the Rite in the Rain Tactical Field Kit is water-resistant and can withstand the elements. The Tactical Field Book has 160 pages, 16 of which are tactical reference pages. The rest are Universal pattern pages with horizontal rule and light grid pattern, suitable for writing aligned text and calculations, as well as sketching with scale. The field book will keep well with its field-flex cover and perfect binding of pages. The Tactical Field Book may be written on with any non water-based ink, but a Rite in the Rain Metal Trekker Pen is also included in the kit. The Metal Trekker Pen can write through water, mud, grease, oil, and more, so it can be used out in the field while exposed to the elements. Its pressurized ink cartridge enables writing in any angle, even upside down, or while underwater. The military-grade Cordura Cover is made with high density Cordura fabric, the same material used in making luggage, scuba gear, and protective accessories. The cover has a rugged zipper closer and can hold side bound books that measure 4.75" x 7.5". The cover has 4 pen pockets, 1 notebook pocket, and another large pocket to hold other essentials.
