    Overview for Leica 778359 TA360 Tripod Adapter for Disto Devices

    The Leica TA360 Tripod Adapter is a metal tripod head that enables extremely accurate measurements to be taken using your Leica Disto D5, D8, or the new E7500i laser measuring tools. Designed to fit perfectly onto both the Leica TRI70 and TRI100 tripods, this adapter tilts and rotates around a fixed point on the rear of your disto so that your reference point is aligned in both the horizontal and vertical axis.

    When a laser distance meter is screwed directly onto a tripod, stability is maintained, but the reference point changes when moved in a vertical or horizontal direction. This causes errors in results.

    Using the Leica TA360 adapter, the rotating axis, tilt axis, and laser axis all meet at one point, minimizing measuring deviation for indirect measurements. The adapter rotates 360 degrees when turned horizontally and can also move vertically. Because of the fixed reference point created, the TA360 adapter is ideal for measuring roofs and other angled targets where measuring directly is not possible.
