Improved 2-inch wide hex head and an 11-inch wide handle, the T&T Striking Head Probe is purposely designed to break through tightly packed or frozen soils. This probe’s hex head is perfect for striking with a maul. The T&T probe incorporates all of the same features as the Smart Stick added with a 3-pound hexagonal striking head. Made with special heat treated alloy steel for durability, this probe has both their striking head and shaft threaded for a secure connection.
In addition, the hex head has been lengthened and counter bored to ensure durability and longevity, especially between the head and rod transition point. With an optional extra heavy duty design for added pounding power, this probe is every surveyor’s soil exploration and compaction testing. The Striking Head does not provide protection from electrical shocks and their vinyl grips are for operator’s comfort only.
