The Notch Steel Rapid Rig Connector, consisting of an octagonal ring and toggle, is primarily used by arborists for arboriculture, vehicle recovery, logging and other complex rigging applications. The ring is usually knot-tied or spliced in the end of a rigging rope, and creates a positive connection with the toggle within the rope. This can be an effective knotless chocking catch for lifting, dragging, and pulling procedures.
The heavy-duty Rapid Rig Connector is made from solid forged steel construction, with a minimum breaking strength of 65kN. It prevents knot tightening caused by heavy loads on the rope, and can be used for long term use. This rig connector is compatible with 3/16" to 1/2" diameter rigging rope, and should not be used for anchoring work positioning lanyards and support lines.
