The Pounder II Hammering/Chopping Wildland Fire Tool Head by J.R. Fire Tools is a heavy-duty tool head with 3 sharpened sides for chopping and hammering so your crew can fall trees, clear vegetation, and fight fire all at the same time. It is made using a special heat-treating process that makes the steel tougher and longer-lasting than other hand tools in the market.
On one side of the Pounder II head is an 8” wide and 9.5” tall blade and on the other side is a 3.5” wide and 1.5” long double-plated pounding hammer, making it effective for pounding wedges, chopping, and digging soil. The curved hoe digs up to 6” deep. Its shape also makes it great for fire crew pullers to quickly pull cut vegetation out of the way. It meets USFS, Cal-Fire, and BLM specifications, guaranteeing quality and safety. Please note that the tool handle and neck kit must be purchased separately.
