The Keencut Excalibur 5000 Substrate Cutter is an advanced vertical cutter designed for framing, photography, education, and reprographics industries. This cutter has four precision cutters, which are the twin-wheel cutting head, the utility blade, the scoring blade for acrylic, and the tungsten carbide glass scoring wheel. These blades can cut on the same line with the help of the turn & lock ready tools. Also featured are the fitted counterbalance for less fatigue, accidents and easy material loading and the telescopic legs adjust for optimal height with two flip stops that make cutting easy.
The Excalibur 5000’s twin-wheel cutting head is for shearing 1/8-inch uncoated Masonite, heavy mat board and 3/8-inch Sintra. The utility blade can cut up to 1/2-inch of foam board, Gatorboard, Honeycomb board, Honeycomb plastics, and PVC foam boards. The scoring blade cuts up to ¼-inch of Acrylic or Plexiglas, while the tungsten carbide wheel is for glass and mirrors. The universal cutting head has an automatic blade disengagement capability and a built-in ratchet for cutting materials to the required depth.
This picture framing cutter can cut up to 63-inches long and is 96L x 84W in size. It has a full-length extra-grip clamping system and a clear plastic sight-line strip that accurately indicates the cut line. The Excalibur cutter comes with a one-piece squaring arm for left and right side alignments and a backboard that supports materials and keeps them flat & stable during cutting. Also included are vertical & horizontal scales and 100 medium-duty utility blades.
