The Garmin Edge 820 GPS Navigator is a lightweight and compact bike computer equipped with high-sensitivity GPS and GLONASS sensors that locate positions quickly and accurately. It is preloaded with Garmin Cycle Map that provides turn-by-turn directions for easy and yet comprehensive navigation. With an integrated accelerometer, it has incident detection capabilities and sends location to chosen contacts in case of emergencies.
This Garmin mountable GPS navigator offers additional functionality with its ANT+ sensors compatibility that enables it to pair with optional heart rate monitor, cadence sensor, and speed sensor. It allows advanced performance monitoring when paired with ANT+ power meters (Edge 820 only) and increased environment awareness when used with cycling awareness devices such as rearview radar and bike lights. Its LiveTrack and GroupTrack make location sharing simple.
The Garmin Edge 820 GPS Navigator features a 2.3-inch high-resolution, color touchscreen display that is responsive even with gloves or when wet. When synced with compatible smartphones, it activates Smart notifications to receive text or call alerts. It is easily customizable and comes with 16-gigabyte internal memory. It also includes mounts, a tether, and a USB cable. With a battery save mode, it extends its 15-hour battery life up to 50 percent.
