Small, easy to carry, and accurate, the Kestrel DROP D3FW Fire Weather Monitor w/ LiNK Wireless Connectivity provides quality data on environmental conditions so you can predict fire behavior and respond accordingly to keep yourself and your crew safe and prepared. The Kestrel DROP can be deployed to gather full wind and weather readings within seconds of arriving on-site, eliminating the cumbersome setup of traditional belt weather kits. It’s small enough to be clipped to a pack or belt loop and affordable enough to be placed in multiple locations for unmanned weather monitoring.
Accurate weather data. The DROP D3FW measures temperature, relative humidity, wet bulb temperature (psychrometric), pressure trend, heat stress index, dew point temperature, and station pressure (absolute pressure). It uses a sealed precision thermistor to accurately monitor and record temperature within the range of 14°F to 131°F (10°C to 55°C) within +/- 0.9°F (0.5°C) accuracy. The humidity specification range is from 10 to 90%.
Small, rugged, convenient. The Kestrel Fire Weather DROP measures just 1 x 1.8 x 2.4 inches and weighs just 1.2 ounces – small and lightweight enough to hang anywhere using the included D-ring. Despite the size, each DROP meets military and international standards for water, dust, and shock resistance (IP67 and MIL-STD-810G). Each DROP is powered by one CR2032 lithium coin cell battery that will last from 6 months to 1 year depending on usage.
Easy data viewing and transfer. With the Bluetooth LiNK Wireless Connectivity and the LiNK iOS and Android app (available in app stores), you can connect the Kestrel DROP data logger with your smartphone or tablet to view and share real-time data and charted trends. The DROP data logger can be left on-site to record a history of conditions and trends that can then be viewed on a mobile device and shared later via email. You can view minimum, maximum, and average readings, as well as logged data presented as an easy-to-consume scrolling graph. Detailed data is available for individual logged points. Inside the app, you can adjust the logging interval, real-time threshold alerts, and other settings. You can set the readings to be updated as often as every two seconds. The Bluetooth function works within a range of 100 feet in most cases.
With the convenience of a small, rugged, and accurate weather data logger like the Kestrel DROP D3FW Fire Weather Monitor, you’ll get quick access to reliable weather data when you need it.
