The carbon fiber bipods come with an open thumb screw head that can hold poles between 1-1.25" (25-32mm) in outside diameter. You can also load a 1.5" (38mm) diameter pole into the open clamp from above.
The major difference between SECO's 5217 and 5219 range is the use of extremely lightweight carbon fiber instead of lightweight aluminum as a base material. The SECO 5219-03 Carbon Fiber Thumb Release Bipod weighs just 4.10lb (1.86kg).
