Designed with a patent for use in whole house applications in Canada, the Generac CSA Approved Service Rated Automatic Transfer Switch offers the first ever CSA approved service rated switches. This automatic transfer switch provides stable and secure conduction of electric current between multiple sources and loads. It spontaneously starts up the generator and transfers the load to it in an event of a power outage. Once power is restored, this smart transfer switch safely converts the load from the generator back to utility.
This CSA-approved transfer switch features a 160-millisecond transfer time and has a dual coil design. Also, it includes two poles with 250 VAC contactors. For an easy current transmission, it has a ten-second factory set of timer to generator start with a five-second engine warm-up delay. Plus, it has an engine cool-down timer of 60 seconds.
This Generac transfer switch can be operated manually without power applied. It is housed in an aluminum NEMA/UL 3R type enclosure that gives protection from falling dirt, rain, and snow. The enclosure also comes with an electrostatically applied and baked powder paint for a classy look. In addition, the main contacts are silver plated or silver alloy to resist welding and sticking.
