The Amprobe AMB-50 Basic Insulation Resistance Tester is a handheld instrument designed to test insulation of wires, cables, transformers, motor, surge arrestors, and generators. Featuring an insulation resistance of up to one teraohm, this Amprobe tester offers a test voltage and step voltage display range up to 5 kilovolts. Also, it automatically ranges to select the best range.
This Amprobe basic insulation resistance tester features several diagnostic tools including Dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), Polarization index (PI), Dielectric discharge test (DD), leakage current, and external voltage measurement. After completion of the measurement, the tester automatically discharges the test object to ensure safety. The AMB-50 tester comes with a built-in memory that can record up to 18 measurements.
The AMB-50 insulation resistance tester comes with a Windows-compatible PC software and USB port for easy management of recorded data. It boasts a digital backlit LCD display with an analog bar graph. Also, it can display a maximum reading of 1,999 counts. In addition, the Amprobe AMB-50 tester features a dual power source that allows electricians and other electrical professionals to use the C-cell LR14 batteries or the direct power source.
