    Overview for Fluke 3016008 9170 Series Field Metrology Well

    The Fluke 9170 Series Field Metrology Well brings the best-combined functionalities of a micro-bath calibrator, dry-well and a reference thermometer for an improved calibration experience. This metrology well has a temperature range of up to 122 °F to 1,292 °F and an accuracy of up to ±32.45 °F at 1,220 °F. In addition, it offers a stability of approximately ±32.05 °F at 1,292 °F.

    At a maximum of 1,292 °F, this Fluke metrology well features a ±32.72 °F axial uniformity and a ±32.07 °F radial uniformity. It also has a thermal hysteresis effect range of approximately 32.13 °F. Plus, the 9170 metrology wells offer a well/immersion depth of up to eight inches which is deeper than most dry-wells.

    The Fluke 9170 metrology well comes with a large LCD display with intuitive on-screen menus and simple keypads for a more effective data calibration and reading. It also includes a dedicated °C/°F button to easily switch temperature units. As an extra feature, the 9170 field metrology well includes an RS-232 serial cable and an Interface-it software for a convenient PC-to-device (and vice versa) data sharing.

    Configuration Options

    The Fluke 9170 Series Field Metrology Well offers four models, optional built-in reference input, and variable insert types to choose from. These standard inserts may be ordered with each unit, accommodating a variety of metric and imperial-sized probe diameters (see this image for more information). Please select your preference from the menus above.

    • Insert "A" has imperial miscellaneous holes.
    • Insert "B" has imperial comparison holes.
    • Insert "C" has 0.25" diameter holes.
    • Insert "D" has metric comparison holes.
    • Insert "E" has metric miscellaneous holes and a 0.25" diameter hole.
    • Insert "F" has metric comparison miscellaneous holes and a 0.25" diameter hole.
