The Fluke 770 Series Milliamp Process Clamp Meter is a handheld device that is great for troubleshooting transmitters, valves, Programmable Automation Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). This unique clamp measures an in-circuit current of four to 24 milliamps dc signals without breaking the loop. It features a detachable jaw clamp that is connected to the main body through an extension cable which is ideal for tight locations.
This process clamp meter features a hold function that takes and shows variations in measurements. Also, it offers a high accuracy of 0.2 percent. Plus, the 770 series can measure ten to 50 milliamp signals in older control systems with the use of a 99.9-milliamp range.
With an IP40 rating, the Fluke 770 series is protected against solid objects greater than one millimeter (e.g. wires, screws, etc.). It features a dual backlit display that flashes two values simultaneously. It uses four AA alkaline batteries that allow up to 12 hours of operation. In addition, it has a power saving feature which is great for a long workday.
