The Amerex 125 lbs Wheeled Purple K Regulated Pressure Fire Extinguisher (Class B:C) is a mobile, large-capacity extinguisher for facilities with extra-high risks of large-scale Class B (flammable liquid/gas) and C (electrical equipment) fires. It uses 125 lbs of Purple K, a potassium bicarbonate dry chemical agent, to suppress as much as 320 square feet of Class B fires. The agent is discharged using a 110 ft3 nitrogen cylinder with a pressure regulator. The wheeled carriage makes it easy to transport and operate by a single operator, making it ideal for large commercial and industrial spaces such as oil refineries, construction sites, parking lots, loading docks, and manufacturing plants. The Amerex 469 is available in three wheel options: 16” semi-pneumatic, 36” steel, and 36” steel wheels with rubber treads.
Superior firefighting power. Purple K is a free-flowing, water-repellant, and non-abrasive agent that is proven to be at least 4 or 5 times as effective as carbon dioxide and more than twice as effective as sodium bicarbonate in suppressing fires. It does not produce toxic effects and does not conduct electricity. The Amerex 692 has a 110 ft3 nitrogen cylinder with a pressure regulator and a pressure reserve for blowing down the discharge hose. When discharged, the Amerex 692 can last up to 52 seconds and can reach up to 40 ft.
Easy to operate. The Amerex 469 has a compact design that makes it easy to maneuver and transport in narrow hallways, doorways, and confined spaces by a single operator. It comes with a 50 ft hose for easy and safe agent application and a couple of holes for lifting the carriage when needed. The agent cylinder is labeled with a large instruction pictogram for quick reference and a UL/ULC label with a QR code.
Rugged. Like all Amerex extinguishers, the Amerex 469 is made of high-quality materials that ensure long shelf life. The agent and nitrogen cylinder, carriage, and hose rack are made of heavy-duty stainless steel painted with a corrosion-resistant finish. It also has durable stainless-steel collars, chrome-plated brass fill caps, brass hose fittings, and a live swivel on the discharge valve. The Amerex 692 is safe to use at temperatures ranging from -65º to 120º.

Configuration Options
The Amerex 469 can come with 16” semi-pneumatic wheels, 36” steel wheels, or 36” steel wheels with rubber treads. Semi-pneumatic wheels are made of molded rubber with a hollow core. Since it has no air pressure, the outer rubber is very thick, and punctures will not cause the wheel to become flat. Steel wheels roll smoothly on any surfaces including metals, concrete, or soft soil. Rubber treads are non-sparking.
