Generally used with single-phase generators that use an Evolution or Nexus controller, the Generac 120/240V Non-Service Rated Automatic Smart Transfer Switch allows smooth and safe transfer of electric current between multiple sources and loads. When there is a loss of utility power, this smart transfer switch automatically starts up the generator and transfers the load to it. Also, it safely switches the load from generator back to utility once power is restored.
This non-service rated automatic transfer switch can manage up to four individual HVAC (24 VAC controlled) loads with no hardware added. Also, when used with Smart Management Modules, this unit can control up to eight more loads providing the most installation efficient power management options available. Plus, it has an open transition load type.
This Generac transfer switch has an engine cool-down timer of 60 seconds and a ten-second factory set timer to generator start. This transfer switch is housed in a durable NEMA/UL 3R steel enclosure which gives the unit protection from incidental contact with enclosed equipment, falling dirt, rain, sleet, and snow. In addition, it has a UL/cUL rating.
