Weber Odorless Turpenoid is a multipurpose alternative to turpentine. While it is odorless and colorless, it still needs to be handled with care when using as either a brush cleaner, paint thinner, or with a paint medium. You can even use it as a spot cleaner on clothing. It is flammable, yet safer to use than turpentine, as it does not irritate skin or eyes, nor cause an allergic reaction as can happen with turpentine.
Using Weber Odorless Turpenoid evaporates quickly and is cleaner than turpentine, as it does not leave a residue. And unlike turpentine, it dries completely, allowing the paint to also dry completely. It is able to be mixed with both oil and alkyd paints, making it a versatile product in the artist studio.
As it is non-toxic and an all natural product, it is safer for artists than turpentine and you do not have to use other harsh chemicals. Even though Weber Odorless Turpenoid is odorless, it is still important to use proper ventilation. Due to its flammability, it should be stored properly between uses. In addition to its uses while painting, it can be used to restore and condition older paintbrushes.
