The Sonde SubSurface Instruments PL-9203 allows the PL-2000 Utility Locator to locate non-conductive pipes and accurately measure their depths. Non-conductive pipes are made of a material other than metal, like plastic, cement, or clay, and they cannot conduct a live, electrical signal.
How It Works
Set your PL-2000 pipe and cable locator to 8 kHz to match the frequency of the sonde. Turn on the battery-powered sonde and attach it to a flexible sewer rod. Using the rod, push the sonde through the pipe you wish to trace. Finally, track the sonde, and therefore the utility, with your pipe and cable locator above ground.
