The Nikon Coolshot AS Laser Range Finder uses infrared laser technology to measure distances up to 600 yards with a +/-0.5 yards accuracy. This rangefinder is very easy to operate, with just one hand and a push of a single button you can control all its capabilities. The Coolshot AS is also small and portable, and with its ergonomic design is a phenomenal tool for engineers and land surveyors.
Target Priority System
The Nikon rangefinder allows you to choose between two different shooting modes using Tru Target Technology: the First Target priority mode always displays the distance to the closest object, ignoring any background objects. This mode can be used while measuring poles or trees with an overlapping background. On the other hand, the Distant Target priority mode gives you the measurements to the farthest object and it's useful when measuring in wooded areas.
The Coolshot AS rangefinder also measures horizontal distances, height and slope adjusted distances, all of them displayed every +/-0.2 yards. This surveying tool lets you choose between yards and meters and it features long eye relief so you can use your eye glasses while taking measurements.
Single or Continuous Measurement
The Nikon Coolshot AS Laser Rangefinder can take single shots or up to 8 seconds continuous measurements. This feature allows you to always be sure you reach the right target, for example when measuring small objects like poles with some overlapping background behind.
The Coolshot range finder displays all your measurements on its 6X in-scope LCD panel. This rangefinder features high-quality multilayer coating lens for clear-bright views and it's equipped with an LED backlight to use under dark conditions.
Resists Outdoor Conditions
The Nikon Coolshot AS rangefinder can operate under any circumstance, its non-slip grip and waterproof design makes it a very durable and strong tool. It only weights 6.2 oz, and it's powered with a CR2 lithium battery and it comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
