Choice of Size
You have a choice of 5 sizes for this Mayline parallel ruling straightedge: 30”, 36”, 42”, 48”, or 60” lengths are available. (The 30” size is only available with Delrin rollers.) This measurement is for the full length of the straightedge blade from end to end. The blade measurement is also the minimum size tabletop drawing board this parallel ruling straightedge will fit. For example, you can install a 36” drafting straightedge onto a 42” table, but it will not fit on a 32” table.
Choice of Rollers
This Mayline parallel drafting bar is designed with retractable rollers so that it glides over your drawing surface. You have a choice of metal or Delrin rollers. The chrome-plated brass metal rollers are recommended for paper and vellum surfaces. The Delrin low-friction polymer rollers are recommended for Mylar drafting film. This Mayline drafting straightedge makes drawing parallel lines nearly effortless. Whether you are making lettering guidelines for your drawings, or sketching out your ideas for a CAD design, a Mayline straightedge won't let you down.
Mayline manufactures some of the best drafting equipment available. Each product is backed up with a limited lifetime warranty. Mayline parallel bars are made of black phenolic laminate for a lightweight yet extremely strong and durable straightedge. A transparent blade is inserted for see-through registration and fine line quality. The blade is raised above the surface to prevent smudging and smearing. With braking knobs on either side, a simple twist can lock the straightedge into place for hands-free work. This Mayline parallel straightedge won't move out of place when you adjust your table.
