Crain’s revolutionary line of Prism Poles include the only poles on the market that combine convenience with functionality! The Grip-Tite locking system on our Prism Poles works better than any other pole in the field, and the poles are also extremely lightweight. Prism Pole models are available in Aluminum, Composite Fiberglass, and Composite Carbon with 8’, 12’, and 15’ versions.
Grip-Tite Locking System on Prism Poles
The Grip-Tite locking system eliminates elevation errors from lock slipping. High-strength elastomeric pads grip the telescopic sections. The lock is self-centering and can be adjusted with the allen wrench (included).
Topo-Boot & Steel Point
Another innovative, yet exclusive feature of Crain’s Prism Poles is the Topo-Boot. The Topo-Boot screws over the precision point and increases the area of the point for use on soft surfaces in topo shots. The Topo-Boot is removable and stores conveniently under the level vial when not in use. The Topo-Boot is constructed on high-impact Lexan and is included as standard equipment.
A replaceable precision tip/point is standard on Crain Prism Poles. In the event that the precision point wears or is damaged, it can be replaced in the field. The tip is constructed of a special hardened stainless steel.
Stedi-Rest
This multi-functional product is exclusive and comes as standard equipment on Crain Prism Poles. The innovative Stedi-Rest can actually take the place of three separate products. One of the most popular uses for the Stedi-Rest is as an equipment protector that can keep your equipment out of mud or water. The Stedi-Rest can also be used to check the calibration of and re-calibrate your pole’s level vial. Another use is to attach the Stedi-Rest to a tripod for a pole support system.
Snap-Apart Sections
In the event that dust or sand gets in the lock, causing it to malfunction, simply unlock the lock, extend the inside section(s), and pull up on the section.
Adjustable Prism Mount Adapter
An adjustable prism mount with lock nuts is standard on all Crain Prism Poles.
Additionally, specific offset adapters are available for a variety of prisms. Crain Prism Poles are calibrated with both metric and feet scales.
Lightweight, High-Strength Materials
Crain’s Prism Poles are the lightest poles available on the market. Not only are they lightweight, the Prism Poles are constructed of extremely high-strength, durable materials. Crain’s Prism Poles are available in Alumilite (aluminum), Composilite (composite fiberglass), Carbonlite/AL (composite carbon with aluminum interior sections), and Carbonlite (composite carbon) models.
Large Level Vial
