The Calculated Industries Scale Master Pro digital plan measurer scans and stores blueprints to scale accurately and easily. It has 72 built-in scales organized by profession for precise selection. There is also the option to create customized scales from poorly copied or photographed plans. Read plans forward or backward, and count or subtract items as you go. This digital measurer is especially ideal for engineers, excavators, contractors, estimators, telecommunication contractors, and other professionals that require an accurate reading of plans and take-offs.
Set Custom Scales
The Scale Master Pro allows the creation of customized scales from plans that are not to scale or of poor quality. There are 6 slots for custom scales – 3 for U.S. and 3 for metric units. Initiate custom mode by pressing the “Mode” key. Enter the new scale directly or by tracing a portion of the plan. The measurer defaults to a unit of measure based on the portion just traced. However, it asks for verification of units, decimal place, and other dimensions. Make necessary adjustments, and then press “Scale” to confirm each setting. Re-roll the sample portion again to ensure the selected units were correct.
Linear, Area, and Volume Take-offs
Use the Scale Master Pro to solve for linear, area, and volume take-offs as well as area values, room length, and width. The measurer captures the area width, square feet, and cubic yards to determine the volume of material, such as flooring.
The Calculated Industries Scale Master Pro has several additional features. There are various mode settings for a tailored reading of plans. Set modes for architectural, engineering, and customized scales, as well as for counting. Convert smoothly between scales and between U.S. and metric units, decimals and fractions. There are also features that allow you to subtract items, store values in memory, and adjust the tension of the wheel for improved accuracy.
The Scale Master Pro digital plan measurer is designed to feel like a pen. It has two large displays that are easy to read and a button to lock in the selected scale. It includes a hard case, user guide, two 3-volt long life batteries, and a 1-year limited warranty.
