The Calculated Industries ElectriCalc Pro is a multi-functional electrical math and code calculator with convenient internal tables. It complies with the last 6 NEC codes and performs Kirchoff’s and Ohm’s law calculations in a wide variety of electrical units. Calculate sizes for copper and aluminum wiring, voltage drops, and conduits. The NEC displays along with results. This calculator is perfect for anyone who needs to perform electrical math in compliance with electrical codes.
Electrical Math, Kirchoff’s and Ohm’sLaw
Instead of looking up formulas in reference books, use the ElectriCalc Pro to perform electrical math and solve for amps, volts, volt-amps, and wattage. Simply enter any two factors to quickly solve for the rest. Use the resistance keys to perform Ohm’s Law calculations. And use the resistance, voltage, and amps keys to solve for Kirchoff’s Law calculations. Convert results between amps, watts, volts, volt-amps, kVA, and more.
Wiring Sizes: Parallel, Voltage Drop, Conduit
The ElectriCalc Pro performs wire sizing for 7 materials in three or one phase and any ambient temperature. It displays the currently selected NEC year. And successively displays wire size, maximum conductor capacity, circular MIL size, and table reference. Find information for various wire percentages and types. Alternatively, enter wire size directly. You can even change variables to solve for hypotheticals.
The ElectriCalc also provides wire size solutions for parallel conductors carrying a shared load. Determine solutions for one-phase of three-phase voltage drop wire size, total volts dropped, percent volts dropped and maximum length for the selected wire size.
Use the ElectriCalc Pro to find sizing for 12 different types of built-in conduit for any combination of wires. Calculate fill percentage, cross sectional and remaining area. To find the appropriate conduit sizing, enter a numerical value from the table found in the reference guide.
Additional Features and Functions
The ElectriCalc Pro has a full range of features for electrical math, unit conversions and basic math. For instance, convert between BTUs and kilowatts per hour. You can solve for motor full-load amps based on the current NEC, determine NEMA starter sizes, and calculate fuse and breaker sizes.
The Calculated Industries ElectriCalc Pro has several additional features such as customizable user preferences, 9 memory locations, and auto shut-off after 8-12 minutes of non-use. It includes a weather-resistant Armadillo Gear hard case, one 3-volt CR2016 battery and 1 year limited warranty.
How to Use
This electrician's calculator has full online informational support. You can watch the video tutorial for step-by-step directions and easily download PDFs of the user's guide in English and Spanish. There is also a pocket guide file for a handy quick reference.
*The ElectriCalc Pro model 5070 is the replacement for the model 5065. The 5070 has been updated with the latest NEC code changes. The model 5065 can be upgraded with the ElectriCalc Pro NEC Code Update Kit 5063-2014 (sold separately).
